Google Maps Adds 360

Today, @TheNextWeb shared that Google Maps has added Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to its list of new 360 degree locations.

Interacting with locations in this manner truly provides a great opportunity for viewers to experience a location that they have never visited or are not presently near.

We’ve had the opportunity to produce a few similar projects, providing contextual reference for virtual tours. The real joy is in embedding this content in an app or AR browser so that the user can use their mobile /tablet device to explore the location-moving the device from left to right allows the on-screen view to mirror the same within the virtual environment.

Our recent holiday greeting utilized this exact functionality.
